How to add text and photos to Keepster folders

More than just texts, you can add written content + other images to your Keepster books.

You asked for this feature and we did it! Now you can combine your saved messages with more words and photos. Whether it’s to create chapters, write in the backstory, or add pictures that weren’t shared in your chats, now you can make your Keepster books more meaningful, and special.

We added this feature to Keepster to help make your book, storybook, album, or personal archive more complete and look exactly like how you’d like it to look.  Here are some ideas on how to use this feature.

  • Making chapters or framing up sections of messages.
  • Explaining context to conversations.
  • Filling blank sections of pages.
  • Adding pictures not sent as messages.
  • Adding in more emojis…if you don’t have enough! 😊
  • Writing your memoir around a group of just a few texts. Yes you can!

 

Adding Content to Keepster Folders

The process to add content is super easy! First, open the folder where you'd like to add more content and click on the Edit Messages tab. Then scroll to the place in your chronologically sorted texts where you want to insert text and/or images.

 

Click the  for the location where you want the content to appear ...

 

Choose the type of content you want to add ... 
 

Type what you want to add to your book and stylize how you want it to look ...
 

Also, you can add photos ... 
 

Just drag & drop or choose the images you wish to add ...
 

You'll then see the added content appear in line with your messages ... 
 

Once you've added all your content, preview how it'll look amongst your messages in the Full Book Preview. 
 

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Which images can I add to my book?
You can add any images you like regardless of whether you have them saved to your desktop, or wherever you keep your photos on your computer.

How many images can I add?
You can add as many photos as you like! However, since saving too many images at a time to a folder will take longer, we recommend adding no more than 10 images at a time.

Will the added images look the same as those in my chat thread?
Yes. The only difference is that the added images will all be aligned in the center of the page.

How much written content can I add?
You can add as much content as you like! However, suppose you would like to write a lot, because the size of the ‘box’ that’s available to do this is relatively small. In that case, we suggest you compose it elsewhere, such as in Word or Google docs, and copy and paste it into the ‘box’ to submit and include it in your book.

How will the added copy look?
Precisely as you formatted it.  Our goal is for you to have as many design choices available as possible. So there are options to choose the font, size, alignment, color, and background color for the added text.

Can I remove or make changes to the content after I’ve added it to a folder?
Yes! You can delete added images simply by checking and removing them. You can also change the text copy simply by clicking on the small edit icon next to it. Please be sure to check for typos, as no changes can be made after your order has been submitted.  

Will adding content allow me to add page numbers or videos?
Unfortunately, not at this time.
