Welcome to Keepster
We believe that some messages are special & worth saving. That's why we built Keepster! Keepster backs up your messages from your iPhone and/or iPad to keep them safe on your computer.
First things first, you will need to create a Keepster account, followed by a backup of your messages to your computer. When you're done with your backup, all the messages from the different messaging apps that you use will be together all in one place, in the Keepster app. Also since your Keepster backup is local to your computer it is fully private.
Once your messages are backed up you can browse them, search by keyword and date, select and organize favorites in folders and create books.
The app will walk you through the process. Below are easy-to-follow step-by-step guides along with instructional videos to assist you further. Find the section for the kind of computer and operating system you are using:
- Windows 10 and 11

Introduction to Keepster Backups
How to Create Your First Keepster BackupKeepster backs up your messages from your iPhone and/or iPad to keep them safe on your computer. You might already be using iCloud backup, but for Keepster we also need you to create a backup to your computer. This is the Backups tab on the Home screen. From this tab, you will be able to browse your backups and find all your messages. However, if you don't have any backups you won't see anything to click. The only option available when you don't have any Keepster Backups is to click "Create New Backup". The steps to follow to complete your Keepster Backup will depend on your computer’s operating system.
